Frequently asked questions
Does offduty work with any Gmail account?
Yes. offduty works with both personal Gmail (@gmail.com) and Google Workspace accounts with no restrictions. The application is verified by Google.
What happens to emails from my VIP list?
They are never held. Emails matching your VIP senders, domains, or keywords are delivered to your inbox instantly, just as they always would be. The hold only applies to everyone else.
Does offduty hold every type of email?
Yes. All incoming email is processed the same way, regardless of category or which tab it would normally land in. If it arrives in your Gmail, offduty handles it.
Will I lose any emails?
No. Nothing is deleted or moved out of your Gmail account. All messages stay in your inbox at all times; they are simply held back from appearing until your scheduled delivery window.
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet. offduty is a mobile-friendly web app that works well on any device and can be saved to your home screen. A dedicated app with widgets and controls is planned for the future.
What happens if I cancel?
You can cancel any time from the Billing page. Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period. There is no immediate cutoff and no partial refunds. Subscriptions are non-refundable but you keep access for the full period you have paid for.
What happens when my trial ends?
After 30 days you will need to subscribe to keep offduty active. If you choose not to, email holding stops and your inbox returns to normal. All held messages are released immediately.
What happens if offduty goes offline?
If offduty is ever unavailable, your emails flow into your inbox normally so nothing is missed. When the service comes back online, the hold is reestablished automatically and you regain full access to your dashboard.
How does offduty access my Gmail?
offduty uses the official Gmail API via Google OAuth. We request only the permissions needed to manage your inbox hold. We never store your emails or share your data. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
